Amazon Day 4
Great day. Fished with Pete today. Good guy. Retired layer who loves to fish.
Morning got off to a good start as I hooked into a nice 4-5lb peacock in an eddy off of some rocks.
Later in the afternoon I had two awesome battles on the 10wt. First was a sick eat from an 11lb peacock. Thing is STRONG. Ate the fly fight next to the boat, and immediately ran directly under the boat. With my rod tip in a full bend, tip under the boat, Pete starts yelling for me to bring my rod around the the bow of the boat, to the opposite side. In a mad scramble with a freight train on the other end I ran around the bow and was able to land the beautiful fish.
Not too long after I had the same style fight with a nice bicuda. Running from the middle of the boat to the bow so that that I don’t loose or break the rod under the boat.
Back at camp I had a few casts at the hole directly in front of our camp kitchen. Boom! Nice bicuda jumping everywhere! All of camp was watching, hooting and hollering.
